Here is a sneak peek at the VGA simulator that Alvaro has been working on to verify VGA designs. The VGA simulator is controlled by a sketch and simulates what the VGA output will look like when it will run on the VGA Wing connected to a Papilio board.
Up next is making this demo work with the VGA Wing on the Papilio One 250K and Papilio One 500K boards.
Robin Debreuil is working on a sweet project that includes a custom Wing, VHDL code, and a hacked printer. He takes over control of the printer mechanism and controls it with his Papilio One. Seems like an excellent approach for getting high quality, precision CNC motors and slides. Go to a thrift store and pick up some old printers for a couple dollars, then you have all the otherwise expensive parts you need for a CNC. :-)Brilliant!
