Papilio PIC prototypes were built for the world store today. The plan for the Papilio PIC is to add support for this PIC based board to the Arduino IDE. The unique PPS (Peripheral Pin Select) functionality of the selected PIC micro allows this inexpensive board to work with the Papilio Wings. Adding support for the PIC chip will allow projects such as the Papilio Barcode Genie kit to be migrated to less expensive hardware.
