In our ongoing quest to make using an FPGA as simple as drawing up a schematic we have a new tutorial ready. Using the Papilio Schematic Library you can draw up a circuit that has a Commodore 64 SID chip connected to a ZPUino Soft Processor, without learning any VHDL or Verilog! Just drag and drop components like the SID chip, a DeltaSigma DAC, an audio splitter, and the hardware to connect it to your speakers.
Its fun and easy to do and just think of all the possibilities! What about multiple SID chips connected inside the FPGA without the need to tear apart old Commodore’s or do any soldering. The tools are now in your hands to make electronics on a chip designs using the Papilio FPGA board and the Papilio Schematic Library.
